Slowly but surely, it’s looking like the Conor McGregor fight against Floyd Mayweather is taking shape. But now, things are getting more serious than ever–McGregor has reportedly sealed the deal by signing the contract.
Last month, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh said the MMA star had begun training to fight the boxing champ. This contract is a huge step forward in making things official, though.
“It is an honour to sign this record-breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management,” Conor McGregor said in a statement. “The first and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”
That means the ball is now in Mayweather’s court. In the meantime, McGregor is enjoying some time with his newborn baby boy.
