It’s been over half a year since actress Carrie Fisher passed away. However, every time we see something relating to Star Wars, the loss feels fresh. Luckily, the series is giving her a good send-off.

In a recent interview, John Boyega, who plays Finn in the newest Star Wars episodes, explained how they dealt with Carrie Fisher’s death.

“It sends her off in a very amazing way,” Boyega said of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. “She is still kept alive in this franchise and that’s the beauty of it–she lives forever, in a sense.”

“It was a strange, strange feeling,” he said. “I felt like everybody in the cast and obviously around the world went silent for a bit.”
