Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Trailer Foreshadows New Nintendo NX Console

Nintendo is coming out with a new gaming system, and naturally, the game we’re most excited about is The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild. The Legend of Zelda titles have a long history of being some of the best games Nintendo has to offer, and this one looks like it’s going to continue that trend.

The newest gameplay trailers are seriously chill-inducing. More than ever, we’re wishing we could don our green hats, pick up a sword and jump right into our screens to explore.

It looks like Nintendo is really taking advantage of having a new system by incorporating some never before seen controls into Breath of the Wild. Instead of just being able to climb up those tell-tale vine-covered surfaces, Link can now use his parkour skills to scale almost anything. He can use his shield as a snowboard. He can even cook food, which is impressive because we’re not really sure how he survived before. Did we mention he can now slow down time to shoot arrows from mid-air?

Those who loved exploring the open world of Hyrule in games like Twilight Princess are in for quite a treat–Breath of the Wild‘s map is around 12 times bigger than the one in Twilight Princess. Seriously, though, the locations in this game look absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to run around and explore every nook and cranny.

One thing that clearly hasn’t changed is Link’s stoic nature. We can hear a few of the usual “HUP” noises in the video, but beyond that, he doesn’t speak a word.

The game will be for the Nintendo Switch, which doesn’t have an official release date yet. However, it’s confirmed to come out sometime in March of 2017. Nintendo has also released a trailer just showing off the new system. Like the Wii U, it will feature a console as well as a handheld device.

From the video, it looks like portability is going to be a huge selling point for the system, with the ability to pick up and go and connect with friends being done with the simple click of the controller pieces.
