There are few times when comic book geekdom and rap culture seem to mix, but lately there have been more and more of these instances, and we’re loving it. Last year, Marvel unveiled a set of more than 50 comic books that had cover art based on popular hip-hop albums. These covers were so massively popular that Marvel has decided to do it again.
All the covers they riff on in the newest set are from 1997 or later, so they aren’t fully diving into any old school rap here, but that doesn’t make the artwork any less impressive. Spider-Man on a Nas cover? Black Panther‘s homeland set on a Dr. Dre album? These are seriously cool.
