Welcome back, Gorillaz! After a temporary hiaitus, the Gorillaz came back with a bang–and Late Show host Stephen Colbert helped make it even more memorable.
The Gorillaz debuted their first new music in seven years just last month. Needless to say, it was highly anticipated, especially considering the band had supposedly broken up. After their 2010 album The Fall, the duo behind the Gorillaz, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, apparently got in a feud that led to the Gorillaz’s demise.
However, their newest album titled Humanz proves that the Gorillaz still have a lot more music left in them. Last week, the band performed one of the album’s new tracks, “Let Me Out,” on the Late Show along with Pusha T. But it was the video posted after their gig that really took the cake.
In it, the band performs the hit song “Feel Good Inc.” But instead of De La Soul taking over the vocals, Late Show host Stephen Colbert steps in. This wasn’t just some cheesy karaoke performance, either. What Colbert managed to do required some serious skill with throwing down rhymes.

Even Albarn himself seems impressed! Who knew Stephen Colbert had more than just extensive Lord of the Rings knowledge up his sleeve?
